Where are the spirits and other dimensions?

Writing this, it's a week out from Halloween. According to tradition, this is the time that the veil between the physical world and the spiritual world is thinnest. I believe this to be true, except that in my experience the veil has been thinning for over a month now. I find it fitting to take an opportunity, before the season is over, to jot some of this experience on paper.

The physical world is completely created and influenced by the spiritual. Most lay people think of spirits as ghosts and demons, but a person who is in contact with the spirits generally knows better than that. It's hard to explain what they are, contrary to popular belief, because traditional views are molded completely by the physical world. If they were physical, then sure, it would be an easy affair. But the fact is, the spiritual world is just plain queer compared to our physical understanding. I'm going to do my best to describe what I mean by the spiritual, but it's going to require a release of these popular misconceptions.

If you're up to snuff on memes, then you're halfway there in understanding the hidden principle. The hidden world of the spirit leads us forward without leading us directly. It wins over our hearts and minds by winning over our views. And these views are more than virus, these views have always been there. There is more to it than the single culture we find ourselves in. Instead, these views arise as motivators toward and away from elements in the world. There's recently been a term developed for these kinds of mental motivators; we call them memes. In theory, memes start as viruses in our logic, and move person to person. Many psychologists and behavioral scientists might call this cutting edge theory, but this idea is hardly new. And how does it affect the theory of memes when these beliefs actually hold truth? That's more than a virus. That's the foundation of our intellect.

Need I remind you of the Gods!? When the Greeks put forth their gods, they made note of the old Titans. As well as being an explanation for objects in the sky, the symbolism of the Titans explained the old Greek philosophy. The new gods came and took the place of the old ones in our hearts and minds. After that, the new gods pervaded as an expression and explanation of how people and the world behaved. Of course, for the most part science has completely discredited any belief in such entities, but I should remind you that the birth of science and mathematics came from such a culture as this. Also, the Egyptians, as they gathered together from warring tribal states into the massive culture that we now study, they combined their gods. Amen and Ra became Amen-Ra. As the gods combined, the ideals of these cultures combined, and what grew of that holy pantheon was actually a larger conciousness or awareness.

Modern day materialists balk at this kind of talk; what use is there in all this mystical theory and mythology!? Well, it's kind of hard to point it out, considering that most of what we use today has arisen from all this. Just as it's hard to point out to a computer user how their system really works, and it's just easier to tell them to point and click, so is the hidden world hard to describe. It's not that the hidden isn't there, and it's not that it's invisible. It's not that the other dimensions are out of our reach and hidden from us. Nay, it's not that at all. The truth is, you use all of this everyday, and we all overlook the interconnectedness of it. It's not that all these ideas, words, groups, or other mental symbologies are alive or not alive; the connection is conciousness. The symbols and interconnected parts of our conciousness are as much concious as we are. The fact that many people all act together on a belief is key to understanding how the spirits move us. If people can all be motivated by a belief, and beliefs exist within conciousness, then how cna you contend that the belief isn't concious itself? Most people understand spirits to be ghosts, phantoms, half visible reflections of the phsyical world. In the spirit world, we're surrounded, we're interconnected. You really don't have to go very far to find them. You just have to open your mind beyond the confines of materialism.

In the world of the hidden, we all share the same space. The space of conciousness and everything else is given to us by higher powers. And with it, we repay the system by using the space. Just like busy bees, we go out and act the will of the spirits, and we move across dimensions that we never even consider. Still you may ask how all of this matters, or how this is anything more than just looking at things differently. Well, again, it's a week out from halloween and the veil is thin. When you stop seeing people as people, places as places, emotions as emotions, ideals as ideals, actions as actions; begin to see actions as beings, ideals as beings, beings as ideals and actions, then labels drop away. You begin to see the interplay of the spirits. This really can't be fathomed by the deterministic mind, but instead observed. This is the path of wisdom, and this is exactly what happens this time of year.

In short, the spirits are within us and everything around us. When they come into the world, most of them actually move through us. Theirs is not a world of states and things, but of actions and positions. The other world is also right here in our world, as we all share the space. To see these other beings, you can't cling to the notion that there are beings there, but rather release the notion that we are all isolated, individual beings. Instead, see the interconnectedness. You can start by looking at ourselves, and at groups, at how we might disagree or argue but still seem to work together. Sometimes we work for some cause or outcome unknowingly. As I mentioned bees, I really don't think bees have any idea of the services they provide, any more than we are aware that our actions are answering the bidding of higher forces. Look beyond the intentions, and try to see how nature has hidden her intentions from us. That is how you listen to them, and that is where you find them.
